Apple iPhone 7: Lightning EarPods image, price of iPhone 7 series leaked on Weibo

Apple iPhone 7 will launch in September, but rumour mills are already buzzing about what the next generation iPhone will feature. One rumour which has been consistent with iPhone 7 is that Apple will kill the 3.5 mm headphone jack, and instead introduce Earpods  powered via the Lightning-port.
Now a new set of leaked images on China’s social media platform Weibo claim to show the new EarPods, which will have the Apple Lightning connector at one end, instead of the standard 3.5 mm headphone jack.
While the headphone looks like Apple’s current EarPods, the finish seems cheap and let’s not forget that a lot of these so-called image leaks take place from China. Whether it is a finished product or just dummy, can’t be confirmed for now.
Another set of leaks from Weibo have also claimed to put out the price of the iPhone 7, iPhone 7 Plus and iPhone 7 Pro in China. The leak from China hints that Apple will phase out the 16GB model, and instead start at 32GB.  A recent Wall Street Journal story has first noted this and claimed the new iPhone 7 models will also be water-resistant, and thinner than the previous versions.
According to the alleged ‘price leaks’, Apple iPhone 7 will start at Yuan 5288 for 32GB, while the iPhone 7 Pro will start at 7088 Yuan. Of course, where Apple and pricing go, rumours can never really confirm which way Cupertino will go.
The iPhone 7 Pro bit is also interesting as some analyst reports have claimed this cycle will be muted. Analysts have said new features like OLED display, a glass-design will launch with iPhone 8, which will mark the 10th anniversary of the iPhone.
Rumours have also claimed the camera module on the iPhone 7 series will be bigger, and Apple could add a dual-rear camera set up to the iPhone 7 Pro model.
While Weibo might be buzzing with leaked images and pricing, we’ll have to wait till September to see how Apple plays it with the iPhone this time.
